Renault takes advantage of the summertime to disclose new information on its upcoming electric cars.

The group Renault-Nissan announced its first two models of electric car that will soon be ready for mass production.
The Renault Fluence ZE had already been presented as a concept at the last Geneva Motor Show. Here it is almost final version with a 95 hp electric motor developing 226 Nm of torque.
With a lithium-ion and 250 kg thanks to its energy recovery during braking, the Fluence announced a range of 160 km. Note that the batteries are between the back seat and trunk reducing the volume of it.
Pleasant surprise, the Renault Kangoo version also comes into ZE (zero emissions).

Equipped with the same device as the Fluence, the Kangoo ZE has a 60 hp motor powered by a battery under the cargo floor and announced the same autonomy. In addition, it displays 3 to 3.5 m3 and 650 kg payload, all for 4.21 m long.
Several methods of recharge will be available:
- With a household outlet for a period of 6 to 8
- With a fast charging station in 30 minutes.
The marketing of Renault Fluence ZE and Kangoo ZE is scheduled for first half of 2011.
