Presented at Global Auto 2008 in Paris, here is the Audi A1 Sportback concept.
Derived from the study Audi A1 Concept of 2007 this project foreshadows the future 5-door model of the brand to the rings.
Hybrid technology is emerging under the hood, a 1.4 TFSI petrol engine from 150hp supported by a 27hp electric motor providing more torque at low revs.
Result, 80% of torque is available from 1250 r / min, or just above idle.
In addition this concept preserves the environment by using only 3.9 l/100km and emits less than 92 g / km of CO ².
The production version could be put into production in 2010-2011, just after the Audi A1 is arriving in dealerships.
