Toyota enjoys the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show to be held from 17 to 27 September 2009 to showcase its future Auris hybrid technology which is based on the Prius.

The Japanese automaker will start deploying the technology already present on Full Hybrid Prius to its compact Auris. This is an opportunity for Toyota to offer an environmentally friendly vehicle on one of its best selling models in order to expand its range.
The Auris Hybrid will use nickel-metal hydride and will be powered by the 1.8 L engine of the Prius III. Remains to be seen what will be the battery life, and their rates.
