Everyone had a certain idea of German manufacturers BMW and particularly on pollution, but is there really reason?

BMW has put in place for some time a program designed to minimize emissions of greenhouse gases. Calling themselves "Efficient Dynamics", it consists of several innovations introduced by BMW.

For example, the Bavarian manufacturer reduces the weight of its vehicles using lightweight materials like aluminum.

BMW also improves aerodynamics and fuel consumption by using a damper system, at the grille, which open and close depending on certain parameters.

Some models are also equipped with direct injection coupled with the start & stop system, which further reduces consumption.

To get an idea, the BMW 120d series of 177 horse consumes little more than a Renault Clio 3 of 85 hp.

They are powered by two BMW engines:

- One classical, the gasoline engine,

- The other, the ecological part, consists of two small electric motors placed at the front of the car which are related to the transmission and the engine and épaulent.

It's still a lot you say, but fall below the 10 liters for a 4 × 4 nearly 2 tons, it is already.

For the BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid with its 465ch and 700nm of torque, performance is similar with 4.9 seconds for 0-100 km / h.

It is clear that the hybrid is becoming more and more home builders, BMW could not remain indifferent. Anyway, I find that this does not detract from the prestige brands that employs him, and the German firm is right - especially as the performance did not really seem affected. And, personally, hybrid 7 Series, I love : Smile:
