As we announced already in a previous article, Audi should indeed release a model similar to the R8 . 
Sportier than the Audi TT, the R4 would be based on a new chassis and rumors speak of a possible engine in central position behind like the R8.
This would be derived from the 2.0 TFSI already equipping the S3 and would develop about 270 horsepower.
The R4 is expected to be available in roadster version and serial S / RS with an asking price of 40,000 euros.
According to the official Audi Roadmap is expected to arrive in dealerships in 2011.
